Irene Kontakos is a visual artist based in South Australia. She graduated from the Adelaide Central School of Art in 2013 with a Bachelor of Visual Art (Hons).

Her current work revolves around two main lines of inquiry: the interconnection between human beings, nature and constructed environments; and the role of the mother artist.
